In February, our Bend, OR office had the privilege of spending a volunteer day with Street Dog Hero, an organization whose mission reaches far beyond Central Oregon. Street Dog Hero is dedicated to rescuing dogs both locally and across the globe, ensuring each pup receives proper veterinary care, spay/neuter services, a loving foster home, and ultimately a safe and happy forever family. Their work touches countless lives, human and canine, and we were honored to lend a hand to such a compassionate cause.
During our visit, our team spent the morning caring for a group of sweet Chihuahua mixes that had been recently rescued from a hoarding situation in California. These resilient little dogs had already been through so much, yet they greeted us with gentle wagging tails and hopeful hearts. Offering them affection, comfort, and socialization was a meaningful reminder of why community involvement matters and how small acts of care can help restore trust and joy to animals in need.
